Poem about Beat Freaks Rough Draft

I'm really thankful for the Beat Freaks,
For they are exactly what America seeks.
These talented women were on ABDC,
To share a message that inspired me
They told me to Freak my Dream,
While showing off their power as a team.
It took a group of women to show what it means
to just be able to dance in baggy jeans.
There was no need to show excessive skin
Just to make themselves fit in.
With each member comes a style
and in rehearsal they go the extra mile.
Jules and Shorty both can break,
Their dance moves are never fake.
Then Keeley is an expert at locking,
And Maryss really excels at popping.
Rino likes the old school vibes,
While Lindsey's style...you can't describe.
Teresa has really awesome choreography,
That is unique just like a state's geography.
And Al* Star was on tour with Pink.
Its almost like a missing link.
but they still represented really well,
It took so much effort...you can tell...
Whenever they are in their group,
Its like they have their own star troop.
For they act so much like they are related,
Their meeting must have been fated.
While Shorty is the youngest one,
Lindsey, the aunt is really fun.
Maryss is like the mom,
she tries to keep the situation calm.
The bullies are the greats.
Situations that Teresa and Jules create,
They always try to set a trap,
While Sister Rino cannot rap.
Godmother Keeley can sing for real,
She almost had a record deal.
The Beat Freaks are the best dance crew,
Even after all the challenges that they've been through.
It seems impossible that they got second place,
But to the Ningers that is not the case.
All the BFFs consider Beat Freaks to be first,
Especially after all the time they rehearsed.
So no matter what the rest of the world will believe,
The only thing that matters is what we achieve.
Since the Beat Freaks goal was to represent,
Their message has clearly been sent.
Now people around the nation,
Can start to make their own creation.
This poem is my way of saying thank you,
For the dreams that you pursue.
Because of this new inspiration,
I have found a motivation.
As the only topics of my poetry,
were about people who have influenced me...

Poem about Inspiration and Bgirl Shorty Rough Draft

A hardcore breakdancer that is five foot two,
is part of the best all female dance crew.
Always with such a chill attitude,
but in a battle she will beat any dude..
She has also influenced people in so many ways
and it seems like she could headspin for days.
There is so much about her that makes her Bucc
anyone who gets to meet her has all the luck.
The coolest thing is that she is so close to the same age
which makes me feel like i could just turn a page
and I can learn to become a dancer.
Meeting her and the Beat Freaks was my answer,
that message to freak my dream was clear as day,
And has started to mold me like clay.
I have started to dance as a hobby
but its almost like I'm in the lobby.
However I'm motivated to get to the top,
And I'm not willing to ever stop.
Bgirl Shorty has been such an inspiration,
For many people around the nation.
With her orange hair she is like a rockstar,
Yet she isn't even old enough to drink in a bar.
There is so much about her that is so cool,
And ninjas and pandas will always rule.
Skittles are her favorite candy,
And she was on ABDC produced by Randy.
Her birthday,October 21st makes her a libra,
And she wears Abbey Dawn with stripes like a zebra.
She is supported by all the people on Ning.
Because her personality is the real thing.
She uses twitter everyday.
Over 3,000 people follow her to see what she has to say.
She and the Beat Freaks inspire me to just be me,
Which helps me to finally truly be.
I am so thankful for that foundation.
Which has brought about less frustration.
For now I have accomplished my dream to write.
However dancing will have to wait for another night.
But it is not what it seems.
It just takes time to follow your dreams.
Time is just a setback to completing a goal,
But deep down dancing is within the soul.
So maybe it will have to wait,
Until a time when it is not so late.
In the end I will write poetry and dance,
For now I cannot yet advance...
But thanks to the Beat Freaks, my inspiration,
I will be able to reach my destination.
Because there is nothing that I can't do,
All I can do now is follow through.

Freaking my Dream

Ever since I was a little girl,
I have dreamed of having everything in the world.
The thing that I wanted the most
was not to boast
but to have the opportunity to be a writer....
and think that the sun shone just a little brighter.
However the thing that terrified me
was attempting to write poetry
I always seemed to write something cheesy,
because the words just didn’t flow freely.
But as if by some miracle everything has changed
and the stars seem to have rearranged.
Normally I don’t believe in those kinds of things,
but there is an energy that the Beat Freaks bring.
They give me the strength to express myself,
and clean the dust off of my internal shelf.
I guess that seems kind of cheesy as well,
but as you should be able to tell,
this is who I am finally introducing myself to be,
This description of me is no longer false imagery.
I don’t really care whether you agree,
because I know in my heart that this is me.
I realized not only another of my passions,
but also I know that expression doesn't have to come in rations.
To truly be happy you need to follow your dream,
which is not always what it seems.
At first I thought that I wanted to dance,
but that was when I was in a trance...
although dancing is a lot of fun,
I know that it is not my true calling.
I only did it because the Beat Freaks had inspired me to try something new,
but I realize my talents in dance are few...
For my true dream is to be a poet,
and now I just have to show it.
My main problem was that I was shy,
but now I am willing to give it a try.
They say the first step is the hardest to take,
however it was one that I knew wasn't a mistake.
Ever since then I have written many a rhyme,
because whenever I have too much time,
I have the words spilling out,
for I am freaking my dream...without a doubt. :)

My Inspiration: The Beat Freaks

With every dance move that I see
Just makes me feel proud to be,
One of many strong females in the world.
Times were rough way back when,
Because females were considered inferior to men.
Times have changed thanks to determined women
Who helped our country to develop from male domination.
Many days I feel like I don’t deserve it,
But I know now that it doesn’t matter how well you fit.
As your own person, you can be anything you want to be,
Which allows you to feel happy and free.
As equals in the society,
Your only worry is propriety.
As long as you are honest about who you are
It doesn’t matter; you will always be a star.
I have learned that through dance,
An impression can be made; even with just a quick glance.
Females from Japan and France,
As well as the United States,
Can become one of the greats
The success you gain is up to you,
All you need to do is follow through.
The Beat Freaks have taught me this,
Through their success in challenges.
They never gave up no matter how hard the task,
And now as I start to take off the mask,
That has covered me from reality for so long,
I am able to be more confident and strong.

Life: Another Poem

The Clock of life seems never ending.
When I just want to get away from it all,
Is when it’s at its slowest.
Never could I have imagined the pain that I feel
For it is too great to ever believe as real.
I realize that nothing is ever perfect,
But there’s never a day when I didn’t wish that life was.
Maybe it’s just me, but life almost seems too long
For the path I walk is lined with fog.
Everyone has seen the reality of who I am,
Yet at the same time, I am still a mystery.
It’s possible that I could be imagining everything,
I know there are people, who care about me,
But I wonder if it’s enough to fill the void that exists.
My only escape is through my friends and dance
For no one has ever really heard about my REAL life
Everything up until now has been a façade
Nothing was real.
I have masked my feelings for so long
That everything I feel just wants to flow out
Like a volcano ready to explode
My heart is ready to burst
I want to put my heart into this poem
So that one day I might actually feel good about myself,
For right now is not the best time in my life.
As I sit here I feel my emotions pouring out,
And although I am ready to just stop and cry,
I know that what I do will never satisfy.
Unless I finish all the way to the end,
And know that I will never look back again
To a time when the path I followed seemed too tough
As if I was gasping for breath with every step I took.
Now as I look back for this one final time,
There is just one message that I almost didn’t notice:
Listen to your heart and everything will be fine
Any journey you follow will have a sign.
This knowledge can be your motivation,
To help you to reach your destination.
If I hadn’t stopped to rethink my thoughts
I would never be where I am now nor where I will be in the future…

The Life that I Live

Everyday that I live seems to pass slowly by
As I walk through life wondering why.
My soul longs for freedom,
The ability to be alone with my thoughts,
But every waking moment takes me farther away
Like that of a cloud that never stays.
The Sun should shine bright as the cloud disappears
But for me I am just entrenched in darkness of fears.
Never will I be understood as just an ordinary person,
But compared to the perfection that is my sister.
I wish that a single moment could change everything for the better
However I know that it isn’t true
My family just doesn’t understand
The pain that surrounds me,
My survival is only a figment of their imagination,
No longer a soul, but a fake presentation,
Of who I really am.
Only my friends truly know me
Because with them I feel totally free,
Like that of a bird with the whole world to venture through
Without stopping to wonder what others think of you.
Now I realize as I see the words I’ve written,
Everything seems so much clearer.
As if the world wants to give me another chance
And let me live my dream and learn how to dance.
The ability to Freak my dream
Just makes me want to scream,
To show to the world my dedication,
Just as the Beat Freaks have been my inspiration.
