Beat Freaks: Memories from ABDC

At the very start of week one,
To see the Beat Freaks was a lot of fun.
Their first dance featured scissor kicks,
Which is one of their crazy tricks.
Then came week 2 with the side plank,
The challenge seemed like a bad prank.
For the move was like a yoga pose,
But they completed the task like pros.
After that was a week for Britney Spears,
This performance got many cheers.
They did not have to cross the line,
But their wardrobe was still divine.
The Wack Track Challenge was really lame,
And MTV is the one to blame.
That week they still were really spry,
As they danced to "Pretty Fly for a White Guy".
That was the very first female headspin,
I was amazed and thought that they should win.
Next week was one of the best,
Everyone in the crowd was impressed.
The song they used was really great,
As they made a ball levitate.
Boys versus Girls was intense,
There was a whole lot of suspense.
Katy Perry's "Hot 'n Cold",
Their message was really bold.
Baseball bats were used that day,
To tell the boys that they were here to stay.
In order to Krump you have to be mean,
But inside the Beat Freaks were serene.
They also had to try to tut,
As a crew they were kicking butt.
There final performance was extreme,
With their message Freak the Dream.
A giant boombox was the finishing touch,
Showing why they love dance so much.
That's when all the voting started,
The final week was when they departed.
But not before one last chance,
For a group collaboration to "Just Dance".
Then a dance to "Beggin" with Quest,
Before it was revealed who is best.
Although the Beat Freaks went all in,
The trophy, they did not win.
But inspiring so many poeple was their goal,
To unlock the passion within one's soul.
Based on the response of so many including me,
People have just found that key.
Although the trophy went to Quest,
For Your message we are blessed.
For inspiration like this was overdue,
But now all our dreams will come true.
So I want to say thanks to the Beat Freaks,
For their dedication throughout the weeks....

Poem about Beat Freaks Rough Draft

I'm really thankful for the Beat Freaks,
For they are exactly what America seeks.
These talented women were on ABDC,
To share a message that inspired me
They told me to Freak my Dream,
While showing off their power as a team.
It took a group of women to show what it means
to just be able to dance in baggy jeans.
There was no need to show excessive skin
Just to make themselves fit in.
With each member comes a style
and in rehearsal they go the extra mile.
Jules and Shorty both can break,
Their dance moves are never fake.
Then Keeley is an expert at locking,
And Maryss really excels at popping.
Rino likes the old school vibes,
While Lindsey's style...you can't describe.
Teresa has really awesome choreography,
That is unique just like a state's geography.
And Al* Star was on tour with Pink.
Its almost like a missing link.
but they still represented really well,
It took so much effort...you can tell...
Whenever they are in their group,
Its like they have their own star troop.
For they act so much like they are related,
Their meeting must have been fated.
While Shorty is the youngest one,
Lindsey, the aunt is really fun.
Maryss is like the mom,
she tries to keep the situation calm.
The bullies are the greats.
Situations that Teresa and Jules create,
They always try to set a trap,
While Sister Rino cannot rap.
Godmother Keeley can sing for real,
She almost had a record deal.
The Beat Freaks are the best dance crew,
Even after all the challenges that they've been through.
It seems impossible that they got second place,
But to the Ningers that is not the case.
All the BFFs consider Beat Freaks to be first,
Especially after all the time they rehearsed.
So no matter what the rest of the world will believe,
The only thing that matters is what we achieve.
Since the Beat Freaks goal was to represent,
Their message has clearly been sent.
Now people around the nation,
Can start to make their own creation.
This poem is my way of saying thank you,
For the dreams that you pursue.
Because of this new inspiration,
I have found a motivation.
As the only topics of my poetry,
were about people who have influenced me...

Poem about Inspiration and Bgirl Shorty Rough Draft

A hardcore breakdancer that is five foot two,
is part of the best all female dance crew.
Always with such a chill attitude,
but in a battle she will beat any dude..
She has also influenced people in so many ways
and it seems like she could headspin for days.
There is so much about her that makes her Bucc
anyone who gets to meet her has all the luck.
The coolest thing is that she is so close to the same age
which makes me feel like i could just turn a page
and I can learn to become a dancer.
Meeting her and the Beat Freaks was my answer,
that message to freak my dream was clear as day,
And has started to mold me like clay.
I have started to dance as a hobby
but its almost like I'm in the lobby.
However I'm motivated to get to the top,
And I'm not willing to ever stop.
Bgirl Shorty has been such an inspiration,
For many people around the nation.
With her orange hair she is like a rockstar,
Yet she isn't even old enough to drink in a bar.
There is so much about her that is so cool,
And ninjas and pandas will always rule.
Skittles are her favorite candy,
And she was on ABDC produced by Randy.
Her birthday,October 21st makes her a libra,
And she wears Abbey Dawn with stripes like a zebra.
She is supported by all the people on Ning.
Because her personality is the real thing.
She uses twitter everyday.
Over 3,000 people follow her to see what she has to say.
She and the Beat Freaks inspire me to just be me,
Which helps me to finally truly be.
I am so thankful for that foundation.
Which has brought about less frustration.
For now I have accomplished my dream to write.
However dancing will have to wait for another night.
But it is not what it seems.
It just takes time to follow your dreams.
Time is just a setback to completing a goal,
But deep down dancing is within the soul.
So maybe it will have to wait,
Until a time when it is not so late.
In the end I will write poetry and dance,
For now I cannot yet advance...
But thanks to the Beat Freaks, my inspiration,
I will be able to reach my destination.
Because there is nothing that I can't do,
All I can do now is follow through.
